Overview

We are seeking a Senior Firmware Development Engineer with expertise in firmware design, networking, and security protocols to join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in Santa Clara, CA. You will design, implement, debug, and troubleshoot firmware for Root of Trust hardware, ensuring robust security and performance. This role is critical for advancing OCI's secure cloud computing infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop firmware for Root of Trust hardware in OCI environments.
• Implement networking and security protocols to enhance hardware security.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex firmware issues in production systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate firmware with cloud infrastructure.
• Optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability testing on firmware components.
• Document firmware designs, implementations, and troubleshooting processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to firmware development best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in firmware design and development for embedded systems.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++, assembly, and embedded programming.
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet) and security standards (TLS, IPSec).
• Experience with hardware security modules, Root of Trust, and cryptographic implementations.
• Proven debugging skills using tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
