Position Overview

As a Senior Java Developer in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks within Oracle's robust ecosystem. You will play a key role in building scalable, high-performance solutions that support Oracle's cloud services and enterprise products. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Java-based applications and microservices for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and database systems
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks
• Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues in distributed systems and high-traffic environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA engineers, and architects to define technical requirements
• Implement and optimize database interactions using SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle-specific technologies
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
• Integrate applications with RESTful APIs, message queues, and cloud-native services
• Perform performance tuning, profiling, and monitoring of Java applications in production environments
• Contribute to agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Stay updated with emerging Java technologies and propose innovative solutions to improve system reliability

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of professional experience in Java software development
• Strong proficiency in Java 8+ , Spring Framework, and Hibernate/JPA
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, and Oracle Database administration
• Proven track record of developing and deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or OCI)
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues under pressure
• Strong communication skills in English; ability to collaborate in a global team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other Oracle products
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka
• Knowledge of reactive programming (e.g., Reactor, RxJava) and JVM tuning
• Previous experience mentoring teams or leading technical projects
• Master's degree in Computer Science or relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Java Certification)
