Job Description
Overview
Lead a team of operators and developers responsible for owning, operating, maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing AI Compute Host Management within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Drive operational excellence, scalability, and innovation in cloud operations across India. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and performance of AI compute resources.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of operators and developers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of AI Compute Host Management, ensuring 99.99% uptime and reliability.
- Develop and implement strategies for infrastructure optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement.
- Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex operational incidents.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design, deploy, and enhance scalable cloud hosting solutions.
- Monitor system health, capacity planning, and resource utilization using advanced telemetry tools.
- Drive automation initiatives to streamline operations and reduce manual interventions.
- Report on key metrics, SLAs, and operational KPIs to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in cloud operations, infrastructure management, or DevOps, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or equivalent public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong experience managing AI/ML compute workloads, bare-metal hosting, and high-performance computing.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems, networking, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing technical teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
