Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable distributed storage systems handling petabyte-scale data.
• Optimize services for high availability, low latency, and fault tolerance in multi-region deployments.
• Develop and maintain core components of OCI's cloud infrastructure platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute on technical roadmaps.
• Perform performance tuning, debugging, and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Contribute to open-source projects and internal tools to enhance developer productivity.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical initiatives within the team.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in storage, networking, and distributed computing.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience; 8+ years in systems engineering.
• Proven expertise in distributed systems design and large-scale storage technologies.
• Strong programming skills in C++, Java, Go, or Python; experience with Linux/Unix.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, and scalability challenges.
• Track record of shipping high-impact features in production environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced settings.
