Position Overview

As a Senior Member of Technical Staff in Oracle's Zapopan office, you will design, develop, and debug complex software for our world-class databases and applications. This role offers the opportunity to drive best practices, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to high-impact projects that serve millions of users globally. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance software components for Oracle databases and enterprise applications
• Develop and debug complex code using Java, C++, or similar languages to ensure reliability and efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and architecture for new features
• Drive code reviews, testing strategies, and best practices to maintain code quality and performance standards
• Optimize database queries, indexing, and storage systems for large-scale data environments
• Integrate applications with cloud services, microservices, and APIs to enhance functionality
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues in distributed systems
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives
• Stay abreast of industry trends and propose innovative solutions to improve product capabilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of professional software development experience in databases or enterprise applications
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or PL/SQL
• Experience designing and developing scalable software systems
• Proven ability to debug complex software issues and optimize performance
• Solid understanding of database concepts, including SQL, relational databases, and data modeling
• Experience with software development lifecycle, including version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent advanced degree
• Experience with Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, or similar enterprise technologies
• Familiarity with cloud-native development, microservices, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of performance tuning, distributed systems, and high-availability architectures
• Prior contributions to open-source projects or publications in software engineering
