Overview

We are seeking skilled and proactive Senior Network Operations Engineers with 3-5 years of experience to join our Global Network Operations Center (GNOC) team in Ireland. The GNOC operates 24x7x365 as the front-line for addressing physical network issues, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The team performs data collection, triage, technical analysis, incident mitigation, and redirection to maintain optimal network operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage physical network incidents in real-time across global OCI infrastructure.
• Perform data collection and technical analysis to identify root causes of network issues.
• Execute incident mitigation and recovery procedures to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering teams for issue escalation and resolution.
• Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation for post-mortem analysis.
• Optimize network performance through proactive monitoring and alerting.
• Participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotations to support global operations.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives in GNOC.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in network operations or NOC environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and hardware.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk, NetFlow).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably OCI or similar platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Availability for shift work and on-call rotations in a 24x7x365 environment.
