Position Overview

The Senior Principal Analytics Engineer role within Oracle Customer Success Services Analytics team focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced analytics solutions for our customers using Fusion Data Intelligence, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), and OCI-based tools. You will serve as a technical leader, guiding complex deployments, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring seamless integration of ETL/ELT processes with tools like ODI and OCI Data Integration. This position offers the opportunity to work with enterprise clients, influence product roadmaps, and deliver high-impact analytics platforms in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of Fusion Data Intelligence and Oracle Analytics Cloud solutions for customer environments.
  • Architect scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using ODI, OCI Data Integration, and other OCI analytics services to support large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
  • Optimize analytics workloads for performance, ensuring low-latency reporting and AI-driven insights in production systems.
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders to gather requirements, define success metrics, and deliver customized analytics platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in OCI-based analytics stacks, including data pipelines, semantic models, and visualization layers.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept demonstrations and pilots for advanced analytics features, influencing customer adoption of Oracle solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on best practices for cloud analytics implementations.
  • Integrate OCI services like Object Storage, Data Flow, and Autonomous Database into comprehensive analytics solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge bases for supported analytics environments.
  • Contribute to product feedback loops by identifying enhancement opportunities based on real-world customer deployments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in analytics engineering, with proven expertise in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence and Oracle Analytics Cloud.
  • Deep hands-on experience implementing ETL/ELT solutions using ODI, OCI Data Integration, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong proficiency in OCI services, including Data Management, Analytics, and Autonomous Database.
  • Experience with data modeling, semantic layers, and advanced visualizations in enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering to production support.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving production issues in cloud analytics environments.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle certifications such as OAC Implementation Specialist or OCI Data Management professional.
  • Experience with AI/ML integrations in analytics platforms, including Oracle AI services.
  • Background in customer-facing consulting roles within enterprise software implementations.
  • Familiarity with other cloud providers (AWS, Azure) for hybrid/multi-cloud analytics scenarios.
  • Contributions to open-source analytics projects or publications on data engineering topics.
