Oracle is seeking a Senior Principal Data Center Design Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design and optimization of mission-critical data centers in Singapore. Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end mechanical design for large-scale data centers, including cooling systems, HVAC, and plumbing infrastructure.
• Develop and optimize energy-efficient designs to meet hyperscale capacity demands while minimizing PUE and operational costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, civil, and architecture, to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly.
• Conduct feasibility studies, CFD simulations, and risk assessments for mechanical systems in high-density environments.
• Oversee commissioning, testing, and handover of mechanical installations to ensure compliance with design intent.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex projects across APAC region.
• Stay abreast of industry trends in liquid cooling, AI-driven thermal management, and sustainable data center technologies.
• Manage vendor relationships, specify equipment, and ensure adherence to local Singapore building codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; PE license preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in data center mechanical design, with proven track record in hyperscale facilities.
• Expertise in cooling technologies including CRAC, CRAH, chillers, CDUs, and direct-to-chip liquid cooling.
• Proficiency with design tools like AutoCAD, Revit MEP, 6SigmaDCX, or equivalent simulation software.
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE standards, Uptime Institute Tier requirements, and Singapore BCA Green Mark certification.
• Excellent project management skills with experience leading multi-million-dollar data center projects.
