Overview

We are seeking a Senior Principal Network Reliability Engineer to build services that model, provision, secure, scale, and operate OCI networks. Network engineers will use internal tooling to represent complex datacenter networks and automate their build, interconnection, and scaling. Network Operations will centrally administer OCI’s networks and automate responses to issues via network automation APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop services for comprehensive network modeling and provisioning in OCI.
• Build tools enabling network engineers to represent and manage complex datacenter topologies.
• Implement secure, scalable network interconnection and operations platforms.
• Create network automation APIs for centralized administration and operational efficiency.
• Automate responses to common network operational problems and incidents.
• Lead reliability engineering efforts to ensure high availability of OCI network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver network reliability standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in network reliability engineering.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering and reliability at hyperscale environments.
• Deep expertise in datacenter networking, BGP, OSPF, and network automation.
• Strong proficiency in programming (Python, Go) and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Proven track record building scalable network management and orchestration systems.
• Experience with cloud networking platforms and API-driven network operations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex distributed systems.
