Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Principal Software Engineer to join the OCI Reliability Tooling team in Seattle, WA or SF Bay Area (must be willing to relocate). You will design and build complex, highly technical cloud products and services from the ground up. Help define and deliver the future of services used daily by customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable cloud-based reliability tooling and services.
• Lead development of high-performance, distributed systems for OCI infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and roadmaps.
• Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and fault tolerance at scale.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure production-ready code quality.
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues in real-time.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in cloud or distributed systems.
• Expertise in Java, Go, Python, or C++ with strong CS fundamentals.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure (OCI, AWS, GCP) and microservices.
• Proven track record building highly available, scalable systems.
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle production incidents.
