Overview

OCI's AI Infrastructure Innovation team is pioneering next-generation storage technologies for Oracle Cloud. Lead architecture and hands-on development across distributed processing, transactions, consensus, and storage engines. Advance the state-of-the-art at the intersection of large-scale distributed systems, database internals, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable distributed storage systems for AI workloads.
• Lead development of high-performance transaction and consensus protocols.
• Implement and optimize storage engines for massive-scale data processing.
• Drive innovation in cloud-native storage technologies integrated with OCI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical roadmaps.
• Prototype and validate new architectures through hands-on coding and testing.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to open-source storage initiatives.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks and deliver production-grade optimizations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience in distributed systems and database engineering.
• Deep expertise in storage engines, consensus algorithms (e.g., Raft, Paxos).
• Proven track record leading architecture for large-scale cloud systems.
• Strong proficiency in C++, Rust, or Go for systems programming.
• Experience with OCI, AWS, or Azure cloud platforms preferred.
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent; publications a plus.
