Overview

As a Senior Principal Engineer in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), you will provide technical leadership and serve as a lead developer in building, delivering, and operating next-generation cloud services for the media and entertainment industry. Our charter is to design and operate services that enable animation, film, and game development studios to migrate their entire production pipelines to the cloud. You will focus on Virtual GPU technologies to power high-performance rendering and compute workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable Virtual GPU services for media workloads in OCI.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices.
• Architect cloud-native solutions optimized for animation, film, and game production pipelines.
• Collaborate with product managers, customers, and cross-functional teams to define service roadmaps.
• Implement and optimize GPU-accelerated compute services for high-throughput rendering tasks.
• Drive operational excellence, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of production services.
• Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization for Virtual GPU infrastructure.
• Contribute to open-source projects and represent Oracle in industry forums for media cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in cloud infrastructure or distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in GPU computing, virtualization technologies (e.g., NVIDIA vGPU, SR-IOV), and parallel processing.
• Strong experience with media/entertainment workflows, including rendering pipelines (e.g., Arnold, RenderMan).
• Proficiency in systems programming (C/C++, Rust) and cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure).
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, production-grade cloud service deployments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
