Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Principal Technical Program Manager to lead strategic initiatives within our OCI Security Platform team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement programs that leverage emerging technologies to proactively mitigate and remediate security risks across OCI services. You will drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-impact security solutions that protect our customers' cloud environments at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of security programs that integrate new OCI features to detect and prevent advanced threats.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to define program roadmaps and technical requirements for risk mitigation.
  • Drive the implementation of remediation workflows using automation tools and emerging technologies like AI/ML for threat intelligence.
  • Manage end-to-end program delivery, including scoping, resourcing, timelines, and success metrics for security initiatives.
  • Identify and prioritize security risks through data analysis and stakeholder input, developing proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate cross-org alignment on security platform enhancements, resolving dependencies and escalating blockers as needed.
  • Measure program effectiveness using KPIs such as threat detection rates, remediation times, and risk reduction metrics.
  • Champion best practices for secure program management, including compliance with industry standards like NIST and ISO 27001.
  • Mentor junior program managers and contribute to team process improvements for scalable security operations.
  • Present program status, outcomes, and recommendations to senior leadership and OCI executives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in technical program management, with at least 5 years focused on cloud security or cybersecurity programs.
  • Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional programs in a cloud environment like OCI, AWS, or Azure.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security principles, threat modeling, encryption, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong technical acumen with experience in security tools, APIs, automation scripting (e.g., Python, Terraform), and DevSecOps practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, including Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, or MS Project.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels without direct authority in fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OCI security services such as Cloud Guard, Vault, or WAF.
  • Advanced certifications like CISSP, CISM, PMP, or cloud-specific credentials (e.g., Oracle Cloud Professional).
  • Background in AI/ML applications for security analytics or anomaly detection.
  • Prior experience managing security programs at hyperscale cloud providers.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in highly regulated industries like finance or healthcare.
