Our AI and Applied Science team at Oracle is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Engineer for our AI Data platform. Responsibilities

• Design and develop agentic AI systems capable of autonomous decision-making and task execution.
• Optimize large language models (LLMs) for efficiency, scalability, and performance in production environments.
• Build intuitive human-in-the-loop interfaces to enhance AI model training and evaluation.
• Lead research initiatives on advanced AI architectures and multimodal agent capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate agentic AI into Oracle's data platform.
• Prototype and iterate on novel AI solutions using state-of-the-art frameworks and tools.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical roadmaps for AI innovation.
• Publish research findings and represent Oracle at industry conferences.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML research or engineering, with focus on LLMs or agents.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and LLM frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Strong publication record in top AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms (e.g., OCI, AWS), and model optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced research environment.
