Overview

As a Senior Software Developer (IC3), you will design, build, and enhance the new Oracle Chat Experience—an agentic AI application enabling enterprise users to interact, reason, and co-create with AI across business functions. You’ll collaborate with product managers, applied scientists, and engineers to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure systems powering conversational and workflow automation. This hands-on role suits engineers who thrive on solving real problems, learning from peers, and owning production-grade AI services in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services for agentic AI applications using modern cloud-native architectures.
• Build and optimize conversational AI interfaces integrated with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Work with applied scientists to integrate cutting-edge AI models into production workflows.
• Implement secure, reliable systems ensuring data privacy and compliance for enterprise users.
• Enhance AI-driven automation for cross-functional business processes like sales, HR, and finance.
• Drive end-to-end feature development from ideation to deployment and monitoring.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews and technical best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with backend services and APIs.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Go, with experience in cloud platforms like OCI, AWS, or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., LangChain, TensorFlow) or LLMs.
• Proven track record building scalable, production-grade distributed systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to own features end-to-end.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent; experience in enterprise software a plus.
