Overview

Oracle Government, Defense & Intelligence is seeking a driven and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Consulting Services team. In this HYBRID-REMOTE LOCAL role based in Annapolis Junction, MD, you will play a pivotal role in delivering mission-critical solutions to clients in the defense and intelligence sectors. Leverage your expertise to design, develop, and deploy scalable Oracle-based systems that drive operational success.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect complex Oracle database solutions for government and defense applications.
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages to enhance system performance.
• Lead implementation of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for secure, scalable deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Oracle solutions with mission-critical systems.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting of high-stakes production environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers on Oracle best practices.
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for large-scale Oracle databases.
• Ensure compliance with federal security standards (e.g., FedRAMP, IL5/IL6) in all deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with deep Oracle database expertise.
• Proficiency in Oracle 19c/21c, PL/SQL, and Oracle APEX development.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and hybrid cloud environments.
• Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain clearance required.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards for government systems (RMF, NIST).
