Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for life sciences applications using Java, Oracle databases, and cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features for healthcare and research platforms.
• Optimize database performance and implement robust data models in Oracle environments for high-volume life sciences data.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Integrate AI/ML models into applications to advance drug discovery and clinical trial analytics.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in production systems.
• Contribute to agile processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Stay current with industry trends in health tech and propose innovative improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in Oracle databases and PL/SQL.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Experience in life sciences domain, such as healthcare IT, pharma, or biotech software.
• Demonstrated ability to work with large-scale data systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or OCI).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
