Overview

The Advanced Customer Services (CSS) team at Oracle establishes long-term relationships with large-scale customers through annuity-based service contracts and project-based services. We deliver critical support for mission-critical Oracle applications from a broad IT-services portfolio on fixed-price or T&M basis. As a Senior Systems Analyst - Support (Oracle DBA SME), you will provide expert-level database administration for Oracle's premier customers in Chennai.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced Oracle DBA support for mission-critical production environments.
• Diagnose and resolve complex database performance and availability issues.
• Perform proactive monitoring, tuning, and optimization of Oracle databases.
• Implement high-availability solutions including RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
• Manage database backups, recovery, patching, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with customers to design and execute database architecture best practices.
• Deliver knowledge transfer sessions and create technical documentation.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident resolution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience with large enterprise environments.
• Expertise in Oracle 12c/19c, RAC, Data Guard, and Exadata.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for performance and high-availability issues.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) preferred.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
• OCP certification (12c/19c) required; OCM preferred.
