Overview

As a Senior Technical Support Engineer in Romania, you will deliver post-sales support and solutions to Oracle's customer base while advocating for customer needs. Your role involves troubleshooting complex technical issues, collaborating with engineering teams, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. Join Oracle's Support organization to drive customer success through innovative problem-solving and expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support for Oracle products, resolving complex customer issues efficiently.
  • Diagnose, replicate, and troubleshoot software bugs and performance problems.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to escalate and resolve critical issues.
  • Deliver proactive support through health checks, best practices guidance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and support documentation.
  • Monitor customer environments using diagnostic tools and provide root cause analysis.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to handle high-priority incidents and minimize downtime.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical support, software engineering, or systems administration.
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle database technologies (e.g., Oracle Database, Cloud Infrastructure).
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Java, Linux/Unix, and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in debugging complex distributed systems.
  • Excellent English communication skills; Romanian language a plus.
