Overview

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Developer 3 to design, build, operate, and automate services for traditional IT infrastructure in OCI National Security Regions. Based in Reston, VA, Seattle, WA, or Austin, TX, the role focuses on ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency using Oracle Linux, Ansible, and software development expertise. Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available IT infrastructure services using Oracle Linux and OCI platforms.
• Develop automation tools and scripts with Ansible, Python, and other languages to streamline operations.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain 99.99% uptime for production environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy scalable, secure services in classified National Security Regions.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery for mission-critical systems.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices to accelerate service delivery.
• Conduct root cause analysis on incidents and drive proactive reliability improvements.
• Document processes, create runbooks, and mentor junior team members on SRE best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps roles.
• Expertise in Oracle Linux administration, Ansible automation, and shell/Python scripting.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security in classified environments.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and observability practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, high-stakes settings.
