Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer with expertise in database administration and strong development capabilities for our Nashville team. In this role, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software for databases, applications, tools, and networks. You will manage the engineering and operational aspects of a massively scaled Oracle database fleet.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software programs for Oracle databases and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across databases, applications, tools, and networks.
• Manage engineering and operational tasks for a large-scale Oracle database fleet.
• Implement automation and monitoring solutions to ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance and scalability.
• Perform database capacity planning, tuning, and maintenance activities.
• Develop tools and scripts to streamline SRE operations and reduce toil.
• Respond to production incidents and conduct root cause analysis for improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps roles.
• Expertise in Oracle database administration and performance tuning.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or OCI) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and on-call experience in high-availability environments.
