Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Site Reliability Developer II to join our dynamic team, focusing on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of Oracle's critical cloud services. This remote role in the United States requires 2-4 years of experience and eligibility for federal security clearance as a US Citizen. You will play a key role in developing tools, automating processes, and maintaining high-availability systems that support Oracle's mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain monitoring systems to proactively detect and resolve issues in production environments
• Automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Perform root cause analysis on system outages and implement preventive measures
• Optimize application performance through capacity planning and resource tuning
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate reliability best practices into the software development lifecycle
• Build and enhance observability tools, including logging, metrics, and alerting dashboards
• Respond to production incidents, minimizing downtime and restoring services swiftly
• Conduct chaos engineering experiments to improve system resilience
• Document operational procedures and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team
• Monitor and scale distributed systems to handle increasing workloads efficiently

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 2-4 years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering roles
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java for automation and tooling
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or GCP
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and networking fundamentals
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Terraform
• US Citizenship with eligibility to obtain federal security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in high-stakes environments requiring security clearance
• Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., OCI Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer)
• Knowledge of observability stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack
• Experience with Oracle database technologies or enterprise software reliability
• Contributions to open-source SRE tools or projects
