Overview

As a Site Reliability Developer (Networking) at Oracle, you will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our global cloud infrastructure with a focus on networking systems. You will collaborate with engineering teams to design, implement, and maintain robust network architectures that support Oracle's cloud services. Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and optimize networking infrastructure including SDN, VPNs, and load balancers for Oracle Cloud.
• Monitor network performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Oracle's proprietary observability platforms.
• Implement automated incident response and chaos engineering to enhance system resilience.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate networking best practices into CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in high-traffic, multi-region environments.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code for networking using Terraform and Ansible.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for global network traffic.
• Contribute to on-call rotation and post-mortem analysis for network outages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in SRE, networking engineering, or DevOps roles.
• Expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and cloud networking (OCI, AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar for automation and scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes networking (CNI plugins like Calico, Flannel).
• Strong knowledge of monitoring tools and observability practices.
