Position Overview

Oracle is seeking a talented Software Developer 3 to join our DevOps team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, focusing on developing robust tooling and driving innovative solutions for our customers.

In this role, you will leverage your enthusiasm and expertise in scripting and Linux to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and enhance deployment processes for cloud-native applications.

You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality software, contributing to Oracle's mission of accelerating customer success through reliable DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain DevOps tooling, including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform, Ansible, and cloud-native services
• Design, implement, and optimize containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes
• Build and deploy monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack for real-time observability
• Script automation workflows in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline operational tasks
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices (DevSecOps) into deployment pipelines
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in Linux-based environments across hybrid and multi-cloud setups
• Perform code reviews, optimize build processes, and ensure high availability of production systems
• Document tooling, processes, and runbooks to enable knowledge sharing across teams
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, performance, and developer productivity

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 4+ years of experience in software development with a focus on DevOps practices
• Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix systems administration and shell scripting (Bash)
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl for automation
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines in enterprise environments
• Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Oracle Cloud Observability
• Certification in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Terraform, or relevant DevOps technologies
• Experience with GitOps practices using tools like ArgoCD or Flux
• Prior work in agile environments with a focus on site reliability engineering (SRE)
