Position Overview

As a Software Developer 3 (Senior DevOps Engineer) in Oracle's CX division, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable DevOps pipelines for our customer experience platforms. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that enhance the reliability, performance, and deployment efficiency of Oracle's cloud-based CX solutions. Based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, you will collaborate with global engineering teams to drive continuous integration and delivery practices in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent tools to automate software deployments for CX applications
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to provision and manage cloud resources across multi-cloud environments
  • Monitor and optimize application performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack to ensure high availability and scalability
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices (DevSecOps) into the software delivery lifecycle
  • Automate testing frameworks including unit, integration, and performance tests to achieve 95%+ code coverage
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement proactive monitoring solutions
  • Manage container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker to deploy microservices-based CX applications
  • Develop and maintain scripts in Python, Bash, or Go for operational automation and system configuration
  • Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 system reliability and rapid incident response
  • Document DevOps processes, create runbooks, and mentor junior engineers on best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or software development with focus on automation and cloud infrastructure
  • Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration and networking fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and CX SaaS platforms
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or New Relic
  • Familiarity with security scanning tools (SonarQube, Snyk) and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies (Istio)
  • Contributions to open-source DevOps projects or relevant certifications (CKA, AWS DevOps)
