Overview

As a Software Developer 3 (Sr Software Engineer IC3) in Oracle's platform organization, you will support the design, development, and operations of the platform data plane. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-performance systems that power Oracle's cloud infrastructure. Drive innovation in data processing and platform reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance components for the platform data plane.
• Implement scalable microservices and APIs for data processing pipelines.
• Collaborate with product teams to define platform requirements and architecture.
• Optimize system performance and ensure high availability of data services.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and Oracle standards.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in distributed systems.
• Contribute to platform observability, monitoring, and alerting systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development with Java, Python, or Go.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices.
• Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases and data processing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with Agile methodologies.
