Position Overview

As a Software Developer 3 at Oracle in India, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that drive Oracle's cloud and enterprise solutions. You will collaborate with talented engineers to deliver robust, scalable software that powers mission-critical systems for global customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable software components for Oracle databases, applications, tools, and network systems
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using modern programming languages and frameworks
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software issues in production environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement technical solutions
• Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, security standards, and performance benchmarks
• Optimize software performance through profiling, testing, and refactoring
• Integrate software modules with existing Oracle platforms and third-party systems
• Contribute to agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives
• Develop automated unit and integration tests to maintain high code quality
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge on Oracle-specific technologies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Java, C++, or Python with experience in object-oriented design
• Experience developing and debugging database-related applications or tools
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with global teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, or related technologies
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud
• Knowledge of networking protocols and distributed systems design
• Prior experience in performance tuning and optimization for enterprise software
