Overview

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) seeks a Senior Software Engineer for our Networking organization, specializing in DDoS and Network Security. You will design, build, and enhance solutions to bolster the security and reliability of OCI’s global cloud services. Ideal candidates bring expertise in distributed systems and passion for cloud networking and security.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable DDoS mitigation systems for OCI's global network.
• Build high-performance network security features to protect cloud services.
• Optimize distributed systems for low-latency threat detection and response.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into networking stack.
• Implement monitoring and telemetry for real-time network threat visibility.
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for security infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues in production environments.
• Contribute to open-source projects and industry standards in cloud security.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience (7+ years).
• Strong proficiency in C++, Go, or Rust for systems programming.
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, HTTP/3).
• Experience with DDoS mitigation technologies and network security.
• Proven track record building distributed systems at scale.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
