Overview

Software Developers on the Core Architecture team at Oracle drive the design and development of new Compute State Machine capabilities. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-performance systems that power Oracle's cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Design and implement core Compute State Machine features for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Develop high-performance, scalable software components using Java, C++, and Go.
• Collaborate with product managers to define technical requirements and roadmaps.
• Optimize system performance and reliability through profiling and benchmarking.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in distributed systems.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience in backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java, C++, or Go with experience in concurrent programming.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, state machines, and cloud computing.
• Experience with microservices architecture and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
