Overview

Oracle is seeking a Software Developer 3 to join our L7 Proxy Platform team in the United States. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize Layer 7 proxy solutions to enhance cloud infrastructure performance and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-availability proxy platforms for enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement L7 proxy features using modern programming languages like Java, Go, or Rust.
• Optimize proxy performance for high-throughput traffic handling and low latency.
• Develop and maintain SSL/TLS termination, HTTP/2, and gRPC proxy capabilities.
• Implement security features including WAF rules, rate limiting, and DDoS protection.
• Build observability tools with metrics, logging, and tracing integration (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Automate testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Collaborate with product managers to define proxy platform roadmaps and requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in distributed cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience with networking or proxy systems.
• Strong proficiency in at least one of Java, Go, C++, or Rust.
• Deep knowledge of HTTP protocols, TCP/IP, and load balancing concepts.
• Experience with Envoy, NGINX, HAProxy, or similar L7 proxy technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, GCP) and container orchestration.
