Overview

Oracle is seeking a principal Software Developer 4 to design and build a new Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) deployment and test service in Austin, TX. This role focuses on creating scalable, automated solutions for cloud infrastructure management. Networking experience is a strong plus for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and development of IaC deployment pipelines using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Design and implement automated testing frameworks for infrastructure code validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define service requirements and APIs.
• Optimize deployment processes for high availability and performance in cloud environments.
• Develop monitoring and observability solutions for IaC services.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews for best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues in multi-cloud deployments.
• Contribute to open-source IaC tools and Oracle's internal platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in Go, Python, or Java.
• Deep knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong networking background (TCP/IP, VPCs, Load Balancers, SDN).
• Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
