Job Description
Overview
Software Engineer for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software for databases, applications, tools, and networks. Play an active role in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures within the software engineering division. Tackle non-routine, complex tasks requiring advanced technical and business skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software programs for OCI databases and applications.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues across tools and networks.
- Define and evolve standard engineering practices and procedures.
- Develop software for designing and debugging applications or operating systems.
- Collaborate on the evolution of OCI infrastructure components.
- Apply advanced technical skills to non-routine, high-complexity projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Optimize software performance and scalability in cloud environments.
Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.
- 8+ years of software engineering or related experience.
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with databases, networking, and software debugging.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for complex, non-routine challenges.
