Position Overview

We are seeking a visionary and technically skilled Software Developer 4 to lead a team in building and maintaining a critical software platform end-to-end. This role requires expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from initial design and development through delivery and ongoing maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a proven ability to drive projects to completion while fostering innovation within high-impact environments at Oracle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable software platforms using modern cloud-native architectures.
• Mentor and guide a team of developers, conducting code reviews and promoting best practices in software engineering.
• Architect end-to-end solutions, integrating Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services with custom applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and roadmaps.
• Implement robust testing strategies, including unit, integration, and performance testing, to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Optimize application performance and scalability, troubleshooting complex issues in production environments.
• Drive agile methodologies, facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives for efficient delivery.
• Maintain and evolve existing codebases, incorporating security best practices and compliance standards.
• Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and innovation initiatives within the team.
• Monitor system health and proactively identify opportunities for platform enhancements and cost optimizations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on full-stack or backend development.
• Proven leadership experience in guiding development teams and delivering complex projects on time.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Go, with experience in building enterprise-grade applications.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or AWS/Azure equivalents.
• Deep knowledge of software development lifecycle, including Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug and resolve issues in distributed systems.
• Strong communication skills with experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Oracle database technologies, such as Oracle Database or Autonomous Database.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
• Contributions to open-source projects or publications in software engineering.
• Certifications in Oracle Cloud, AWS, or relevant DevOps tools.
