Position Overview

We are seeking a visionary and technically skilled Software Developer 4 to lead a team in building and maintaining a critical software platform end-to-end. This role requires expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from initial design and development through delivery and ongoing maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a proven ability to drive projects to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions for Oracle's cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable software platforms using modern cloud-native architectures
• Mentor and guide a team of developers, conducting code reviews and fostering best practices in software engineering
• Architect end-to-end solutions, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security across the development lifecycle
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and roadmaps
• Implement and optimize microservices, APIs, and database integrations using Oracle technologies like Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Drive continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to accelerate release cycles and improve software quality
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures
• Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and innovation initiatives within the team
• Monitor system performance and scalability, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization
• Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure on-time delivery of features

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on enterprise-scale applications
• Proven expertise in Java or similar object-oriented languages, with strong knowledge of design patterns and algorithms
• Experience leading development teams, including mentoring junior engineers and managing project timelines
• Deep understanding of full software development lifecycle, including Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or AWS/Azure
• Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., Oracle Database) and NoSQL solutions, with SQL optimization skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with debugging complex, distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle APEX, or other Oracle product suites
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for orchestration
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including Jenkins, Git, and Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Previous contributions to open-source projects or publications in software engineering
