Position Overview

As a Software Developer 5 (Senior Principal Cloud Solution Architect) based in Hong Kong, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced cloud architectures for Oracle's cloud platform. This senior-level role involves architecting scalable, secure solutions that drive customer success in the Asia-Pacific region. You will collaborate with global engineering teams and customer stakeholders to deliver high-impact cloud innovations, leveraging Oracle's OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end cloud solutions using OCI services, including compute, storage, networking, and database technologies
• Lead the design of highly scalable, resilient, and secure multi-tenant cloud architectures for enterprise customers
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define technical roadmaps and solution blueprints
• Conduct technical workshops and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to demonstrate cloud solution viability to clients
• Optimize cloud workloads for performance, cost-efficiency, and compliance with industry standards
• Mentor junior architects and developers on best practices in cloud-native development and DevOps
• Integrate AI/ML services and advanced analytics into cloud architectures to enable intelligent applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production cloud environments
• Contribute to open-source projects and Oracle's internal tools to advance cloud ecosystem capabilities
• Stay abreast of emerging cloud trends and recommend innovative technologies for Oracle's portfolio

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 12+ years of experience in software development with at least 8 years focused on cloud architecture
• Deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or equivalent public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale, mission-critical cloud solutions
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or C++
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to architect for high availability and disaster recovery
• Strong communication skills with experience presenting to technical and executive audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle certifications such as OCI Architect Professional or equivalent
• Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud architectures and cloud migration strategies
• Knowledge of database technologies including Oracle Database, NoSQL, and data warehousing
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
• Prior experience in the financial services or telecom sectors in Asia-Pacific
