The OHD OS team at Oracle is seeking a Software Developer 5 (OS Kernel) to join our Santa Clara, CA or Burlington, MA locations. We are looking for a GPU engineer with deep expertise in building and debugging GPU software stacks, including drivers and runtime libraries for OCI hyperscalers. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize GPU drivers for the OHD OS kernel.
• Build and maintain runtime libraries for GPU acceleration in OCI hyperscalers.
• Debug complex issues across the GPU software stack, from kernel to user-space.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate new GPU architectures.
• Performance-tune GPU workloads for cloud-scale hyperscaler environments.
• Develop tools and frameworks for GPU stack testing and validation.
• Contribute to OS kernel enhancements supporting advanced GPU features.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical roadmaps for GPU software.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in OS kernel development, preferably Linux or custom kernels.
• Proven expertise in GPU drivers (NVIDIA/AMD/Intel) and runtime libraries (CUDA/ROCm).
• Strong skills in C/C++, kernel debugging, and performance profiling tools.
• Experience with hyperscaler environments and OCI or similar cloud platforms.
• Deep knowledge of GPU hardware architecture and memory management.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
