Oracle Linux virtualization team seeks a senior Software Developer 5 to design and implement virtualization solutions supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Exadata Database systems, and various Oracle products. Responsibilities

• Design and develop virtualization features for Oracle Linux kernel and tools.
• Implement high-performance virtualization solutions for OCI and Exadata.
• Optimize virtual machine performance and resource management.
• Integrate virtualization with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services.
• Debug and resolve complex virtualization issues in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product roadmaps and releases.
• Contribute to open-source virtualization projects and upstream kernels.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent with 10+ years of experience.
• Expertise in Linux kernel development and virtualization (KVM, Xen).
• Strong C programming skills and systems programming experience.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven track record in performance optimization and debugging.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
