Overview

As a Software Developer 5 in the OCI Infrastructure Engineering team, you will lead the definition and evolution of standard practices for canonical Datacenter Software engineering at 10X scale for OCI. Take an active leadership role in shaping innovative solutions for large-scale datacenter operations. Nashville location preferred; Austin secondary option.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable datacenter software solutions for OCI infrastructure.
• Define and evolve standard engineering practices and procedures for 10X scale operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect high-performance, reliable systems.
• Mentor junior developers and drive technical excellence across the team.
• Optimize software for performance, reliability, and efficiency in massive datacenter environments.
• Implement and maintain canonical software standards for OCI deployments.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and deployment of mission-critical infrastructure components.
• Stay ahead of industry trends to innovate datacenter software engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with focus on infrastructure or datacenter systems.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and large-scale software engineering.
• Strong leadership experience in defining engineering standards and practices.
• Proficiency in languages like Java, C++, Python, or Go for high-performance applications.
• Deep knowledge of OCI, AWS, or similar cloud platforms and datacenter operations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
