Overview

As a Software Development Director at Oracle, you will lead a team responsible for a critical element of the host lifecycle within Oracle's cloud business (OCI). Delivering GPU compute capacity quickly and at high quality to our customers is essential to our success. You will drive innovation, ensure operational excellence, and scale infrastructure to meet growing demand.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team focused on host lifecycle management for OCI GPU compute.
• Define and execute the technical roadmap for rapid, reliable delivery of compute capacity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, networking, and product management.
• Drive improvements in deployment speed, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee system design, development, testing, and production rollout processes.
• Monitor key metrics and implement strategies to achieve SLAs and customer satisfaction goals.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Engage with senior leadership to align on priorities and resource needs.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software development, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven track record managing cloud infrastructure or distributed systems teams.
• Deep expertise in host lifecycle management, virtualization, or GPU compute technologies.
• Strong understanding of cloud-scale operations and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience; MBA a plus.
