Position Overview

Lead and manage a talented team responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software for databases, applications, tools, and networks. The Cost Management Service team’s mission is to drive cost efficiency across cloud usage by increasing transparency, supporting cross-charging, and delivering actionable data for better cost understanding. Key Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing engineering team in designing and developing scalable software solutions for Oracle's Cost Management Service.
• Define technical vision and roadmap to enhance cost transparency, cross-charging capabilities, and actionable insights for cloud usage.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering professional growth and a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to align on priorities and deliver customer value.
• Oversee troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of database, application, tool, and network components.
• Drive agile processes, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software releases and iterative improvements.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, implementing best practices for code quality, security, and performance.
• Champion diversity and inclusion within the team, building an environment of trust and empowerment.
• Analyze cloud cost data trends to inform strategic decisions and enhance service capabilities.
• Represent the team in executive reviews, communicating progress, challenges, and opportunities effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven track record of managing engineering teams delivering cloud-based services or SaaS products.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, databases, and cost management principles.
• Experience with agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development practices.
• Excellent leadership skills with ability to motivate diverse teams and drive results.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in troubleshooting complex software systems.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement and technical presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or similar cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Background in financial systems, billing, or cost optimization tools.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go, and microservices architecture.
• Previous experience leading teams in a global, distributed environment.
• Advanced degree or certifications in cloud architecture or management (e.g., OCI Architect, PMP).
