Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer 2 to play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of our conversational AI and clinical automation platforms. As a Software Engineer 2, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and healthcare experts to design, develop, and deploy innovative software solutions that facilitate seamless communication between patients, medical professionals, and healthcare systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes using Oracle's advanced cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services for conversational AI platforms using Java, Python, or Node.js
• Develop and optimize APIs to integrate clinical automation tools with healthcare systems and electronic health records
• Collaborate with data scientists to incorporate machine learning models into real-time patient interaction workflows
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following Oracle's engineering best practices
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure high-quality software deliverables
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to build intuitive interfaces for medical professionals and patients
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups, to deliver features iteratively
• Stay updated on emerging technologies in AI, NLP, and healthcare standards like HL7 and FHIR

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 2-4 years of professional software development experience with backend technologies
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud computing concepts
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle Database, PostgreSQL) and SQL
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Fluency in English; Romanian language skills are a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with conversational AI frameworks like Dialogflow, Rasa, or Oracle Digital Assistant
• Familiarity with healthcare standards such as HL7 FHIR, DICOM, or HIPAA compliance
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Prior exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other major cloud platforms
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
