Overview

We are seeking a passionate Software Engineer - fresh graduate to join the Opower product team in Prague. Ideal candidates are finishing university in the 2025/2026 academic year, with a start date from June 1st, 2026. EU visa and work permission are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality software features for the Opower platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure best coding practices.
• Debug and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to agile sprints and iterative product development.
• Learn and apply new technologies to improve product performance.
• Support testing, deployment, and monitoring of applications.

Qualifications

• Graduating in 2025/2026 with a degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
• EU work permit and visa eligibility required.
