Position Overview

As a Specialist Retail Account Executive at Oracle in the United Kingdom, you will drive sales of our industry-leading Retail Software applications to retail clients, positioning Oracle as their strategic partner for digital transformation. Leverage your deep retail expertise to uncover customer needs, demonstrate groundbreaking solutions, and close high-value deals that propel business success. This role offers the opportunity to bridge the gap between innovative technology and real-world retail challenges, collaborating with sales teams to outpace industry change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and cultivate relationships with key retail decision-makers across the UK market to identify sales opportunities
  • Conduct needs assessments and solution demonstrations tailored to retail-specific challenges like inventory management and customer experience
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Collaborate with pre-sales technical teams to craft compelling proposals and ROI analyses for Oracle Retail solutions
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure profitable deals while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Build a robust sales pipeline through networking, industry events, and targeted outreach in the retail sector
  • Provide customer training and ongoing support to drive adoption and expansion of Oracle Retail applications
  • Track sales performance using CRM tools and deliver regular forecasts and pipeline reports to leadership
  • Stay abreast of retail industry trends and competitive landscape to position Oracle solutions effectively
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation and long-term customer success

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in B2B software sales, with a focus on the retail industry
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in enterprise software environments
  • Strong knowledge of retail software applications, including POS, merchandising, and supply chain solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience influencing C-level executives
  • Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce and sales forecasting tools
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the UK to meet clients and attend events
  • UK work authorization and right to live and work in the country

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling SaaS or cloud-based retail solutions to mid-market or enterprise clients
  • Deep understanding of UK retail market dynamics, regulations, and key players
  • Technical aptitude with Oracle Retail products or similar platforms (e.g., SAP Retail, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Advanced certifications in sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger Sale, MEDDIC)
  • Existing network of contacts within UK retail organizations
