Overview

Responsible for the operation of production environments, including systems and databases, supporting critical business operations at Oracle. Ensures high availability, performance, and security of cloud-based production systems in Mexico. Collaborates with engineering teams to maintain reliable infrastructure for global services.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage cloud production systems and Oracle databases for optimal performance.
• Perform routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades on production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents affecting system availability and business continuity.
• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Configure and optimize Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) resources.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy and support application releases.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and perform vulnerability assessments.
• Document procedures and contribute to operational runbooks and knowledge base.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration, preferably in cloud environments.
• Expertise in Oracle databases (e.g., Oracle DB, Exadata) and OCI.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and scripting (Bash, Python).
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Oracle EM, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Understanding of networking, storage, and high-availability architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
