Overview

Oracle is seeking a Sr Principal Physical Security Design Engineer to lead the development, design, and implementation of advanced physical security solutions for global facilities, including data centers, SCIFs, and mission-critical environments. The role involves architecting robust security systems to protect sensitive assets and ensure compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of physical security systems for data centers, SCIFs, and corporate facilities worldwide.
• Develop and implement security architectures, including access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter protection.
• Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, facilities, and compliance, to integrate security solutions seamlessly.
• Oversee the deployment, testing, and commissioning of security technologies and systems.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as ICD 705, UL 2050, and other government security requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and driving innovation in security design practices.
• Manage vendor relationships, evaluate emerging technologies, and prepare detailed security design documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Security Systems, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in physical security design, with focus on data centers or high-security environments.
• Expertise in security technologies like CCTV, biometrics, barriers, and SCIF construction standards.
• Proven track record leading complex security projects from concept to implementation.
• Strong knowledge of security regulations (e.g., ICD/ICS 705, FISMA) and risk management frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to obtain necessary security clearances.
