Position Overview

We are seeking a visionary and technically skilled Sr Principal Software Developer to lead a team in building and maintaining a critical software platform end-to-end. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable software platforms using modern cloud-native architectures.
• Mentor and guide a team of senior developers, fostering best practices in code quality, testing, and agile methodologies.
• Architect complex systems integrating Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, microservices, and distributed databases.
• Drive technical innovation by prototyping new features, optimizing performance, and ensuring high availability for mission-critical applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
• Conduct code reviews, implement CI/CD pipelines, and enforce security standards across the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
• Champion technical debt reduction and maintainability through refactoring and documentation of legacy systems.
• Represent the team in cross-functional initiatives, influencing roadmap decisions and technology stack choices.
• Stay abreast of industry trends in cloud computing, AI/ML, and DevOps to incorporate cutting-edge technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on enterprise-scale applications.
• Proven expertise in Java, Python, or Go, with strong proficiency in building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure.
• Experience leading development teams through the full software lifecycle in agile environments.
• Strong understanding of database design, SQL/NoSQL, and data modeling for high-volume systems.
• Demonstrated ability to architect fault-tolerant, scalable systems handling millions of transactions daily.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle database technologies, Fusion Middleware, or OCI-native services.
• Hands-on expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Background in AI/ML integration or big data processing with tools like Spark or Kafka.
• Contributions to open-source projects or publications in software engineering.
• Prior leadership in a Sr Principal or Distinguished Engineer role at a Fortune 500 company.
