Position Overview

As a Staff Consultant - Java/PL/SQL in Oracle's OFSS Consulting team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact consulting services for new implementations, upgrades, customizations, and managed services. Based in India, you will work on transformative projects leveraging Oracle's flagship products such as FLEXCUBE and DIGIX to drive digital banking innovations. This position offers opportunities to collaborate with global clients, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to the evolution of financial services technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Java-based applications and PL/SQL stored procedures for FLEXCUBE and Oracle Banking products
• Lead customization efforts for client-specific requirements in retail, corporate, investment, and wealth banking domains
• Perform system upgrades and migrations, ensuring seamless integration with DIGIX and other Oracle digital banking solutions
• Conduct code reviews, optimization, and performance tuning of Java and PL/SQL components to meet enterprise standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver end-to-end solutions
• Provide managed services support, including incident resolution, proactive monitoring, and enhancement of analytics, pricing, billing, leasing, and lending modules
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Document technical designs, configurations, and deployment procedures for knowledge transfer and compliance
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to best practices in agile development methodologies
• Engage with clients to demonstrate solutions, troubleshoot issues, and provide post-implementation support

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with at least 7+ years of relevant experience
• Strong proficiency in Java development, including Spring Framework, Hibernate, and RESTful web services
• Expertise in PL/SQL programming, including complex stored procedures, triggers, and performance optimization in Oracle Database
• Hands-on experience with FLEXCUBE or similar core banking systems
• Proven track record in software implementation, customization, and support for financial services applications
• Solid understanding of banking domains such as retail, corporate, lending, and wealth management
• Experience with agile methodologies, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced consulting environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Banking Platform, DIGIX, or Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or AWS
• Knowledge of analytics tools, pricing engines, or billing systems in financial services
• Certification in Oracle Java, PL/SQL, or FLEXCUBE development
• Prior consulting experience with global financial institutions
