Position Overview

The Support Account Manager Intern (Renewals) (12-month program) offers hands-on experience supporting account managers in customer engagement and renewal operations within Oracle's Support Services division. As an intern, you will assist in managing renewal processes, analyzing customer data, and contributing to retention strategies for key accounts. This role provides exposure to real-world CRM tools, customer relationship management, and the fast-paced world of enterprise software support, ideal for students or recent graduates building a career in sales operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist account managers in tracking and managing customer renewal pipelines using Oracle's CRM systems
  • Prepare renewal quotes, contracts, and documentation for customer accounts
  • Conduct customer outreach via email and phone to gather renewal intent and feedback
  • Analyze customer usage data and support metrics to identify renewal risks and opportunities
  • Support the creation of customer engagement reports and dashboards for management review
  • Collaborate with sales and support teams to resolve customer queries related to renewals
  • Monitor renewal timelines and escalate at-risk accounts to senior account managers
  • Participate in customer meetings and renewal strategy sessions to gain exposure to negotiations
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and renewal activities in Salesforce
  • Contribute to process improvements in renewal operations through data-driven insights

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong academic record with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3.0/4.0 or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Basic understanding of CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Right to work in South Africa for the duration of the 12-month program
  • Availability for full-time work (40 hours/week) during the 12-month internship period

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship or work experience in sales, customer support, or account management
  • Familiarity with enterprise software solutions or SaaS renewal processes
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience with customer engagement platforms or contract management systems
  • Fluency in additional languages such as Afrikaans, Zulu, or Xhosa for local customer interactions
