Overview

Oracle is seeking a highly organized System Administrator 4-IT to serve as a Deployment Support Specialist, coordinating the installation and delivery of network and server racks, cabling, and infrastructure in U.S. data centers. This role collaborates closely with design, logistics, project management, capacity, operational teams, and external vendors to ensure new site deployments and expansions are executed efficiently and on schedule. Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end deployment of network/server racks, cabling, and data center infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, logistics, and operations for seamless execution.
• Liaise with external vendors to procure, schedule, and oversee equipment deliveries and installations.
• Monitor project timelines, ensuring deployments meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues related to hardware, cabling, and rack configurations.
• Document deployment processes, configurations, and post-installation validations.
• Support capacity planning and site expansions through infrastructure assessments.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and Oracle data center standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data center operations, deployment, or systems administration.
• Strong knowledge of server racks, networking hardware, cabling standards (fiber/copper).
• Proven project coordination skills with vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments.
• Familiarity with data center tools (DCIM, ticketing systems like ServiceNow).
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
