Position Overview

Join Oracle as a Systems Analyst 1-Support, also known as an Advanced Services Engineer (ASE), where you will play a pivotal role in guiding customers through the implementation, management, and optimization of Oracle technologies.

In this entry-level support role, you will analyze complex systems, troubleshoot issues, and provide expert recommendations to ensure seamless adoption and performance of Oracle solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer systems and configurations to identify issues impacting Oracle product performance and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems related to Oracle databases, cloud services, and applications through root cause analysis.
  • Provide tier-1 support by responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, and remote sessions within established SLAs.
  • Document support cases, resolutions, and knowledge articles to build a comprehensive knowledge base for the team.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams to escalate and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Recommend best practices for Oracle technology implementation, upgrades, and ongoing management.
  • Conduct system health checks and performance tuning to optimize customer environments.
  • Assist customers in reproducing issues and gathering diagnostic data for efficient problem resolution.
  • Deliver training sessions and guidance on Oracle tools, features, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Monitor support metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for support processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in IT support, systems analysis, or technical customer support roles.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, including SQL querying and basic administration.
  • Proficiency in operating systems such as Linux, Unix, or Windows Server environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple support cases simultaneously.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for critical customer issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle certification such as Oracle Database Foundations or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud services, including OCI, Autonomous Database, or Fusion Applications.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Prior exposure to CRM systems or ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Salesforce.
